After the Spring Festival, the SportsCenter, as the home field of Dalian Yifang Football Club of China League (2016), will hold the first home match. The journalist has learned from the SportsCenter that the preparation work for the stadium has been started prior to the Spring Festival. Recently, the Sports Center covered a “thick quilt” for its lawn, waiting for grasses to sprout for the upcoming season.

       As explained by the staff of the SportsCenterstadium, the football field adopted natural turf, which is soft and elastic, to maximize players’ performance. In order to better maintain the lawn, the Sports Center hired experienced and highly professional lawn maintenance team. “We are going to cover a plastic film on the lawn before the game. With this “thick quilt”, 4cm-5cm new grasses will be produced in 40-50days. Football fans will see the beautiful green lawn when watching the game.” The lawn maintenance staff said that the film will be removed several days before the game and the lawn will be trimmed for the last time. Then the lawn marking and goal adjustment will be performed.

       The stadium staff also told the journalist that besides lawn maintenance, part of work had been started in advance, e.g. daily management of lounges for home players and visiting players, layout of functional rooms like the press hall, cleaning seats, promoting equipment safety inspection and commissioning in an orderly fashion, etc., thereby providing strong support for this year’s competitions.

       It is acknowledged that besides Chinese Football Association China League (2016), the Sports Center will also hold Women’s Super League (2016), 3rd China-US Teenagers Football Invitation Tournament, 2016 National City Championship (U15), etc. Citizens can not only do exercise in the Sports Center on the weekends but also watch wonderful football games in the stadium and cheer up for the re-rising Dalian football.
