Mr. Xu, a senior executive of a foreign enterprise, is a sport fan. He is so delighted that 2016 is a fascinating year for him since large scale sport events such as European Football Championship and Olympic Games will be held. However,troubled by work tension and daily life disorder, he has realized that watching sport events and participating in physical exercises have totally different effects, the former of which may spoil his health and even hurt his feelings sometimes, while the latter can definitely promote his health condition. Recently, Mr. Xu has organized some of his colleagues to try a trendy and interesting sport—slow pitch softball in the Sports Center.

       Originating from baseball and softball, the slow pitch softball is an emerging recreational sport that inherits the characteristics such as team cooperation and bravery & wisdom of baseball and softball, highlights their game-play, and simplifies their rules in the meanwhile. Since the degree of difficulty in batting has been reduced, it is easy to learn and has moderate amount of exercises,  it’s possible for men, women, the elderly and the young to play together. By integrating sports competition with pleasure, this sport will attract more and more teams from all walks of life. The integration of entertainment and pleasure will improve the life style of fitness enthusiasts and promote their happiness index.

       Professional and amateur competitions such as National Baseball League Series, Dalian Baseball League Series, Dalian Create Medic Cup Baseball Competition, Dalian Junior Baseball Competition will be held in the baseball field of the Sports Center this year. In addition to the competitions, the Sports Center will endeavor itself in promoting slow pitch softball, a sport that will satisfy the public entertainment requirements and push forward the prosperity of nationwide fitness cause. By drawing on the world’s top notch baseball field, the Sports Center will organize more competitions. As the number of baseball and softball player increased steadily year by year, the development of baseball and softball attracted more attention. It’s hoped that more and more people will be fond of slow pitch softball and get physically and psychologically healthy.
