With the increase of living standards, fans are not content with just watching football games. They are keener to play football on football fields. However, there is limited number of natural grass field in Dalian. And the eleven-people-a-side natural lawn are always used for trainings and matches of CSL, China Women’s Super League, Youth Super League, and base trainings of football teams from other provinces, whose utilization rate is quite high. In the past, it was difficult for football enthusiasts to experience natural football fields.

       In order to meet citizens’ pursuit towards involvement into football sports and sports experience, the Sports Center will turn the 6 external basketball courts into five-people-a-side P.K.O. field, which will be opened to the public in May this year. ‘Grassroots football’ can finally get close to natural grass.

       P.K.O. originated from street football, which is generally classified into three players a side and five players a side. Such brand new, fashionable and dynamic football competition calls little for professional football skills where the field is smaller, players are fewer, transition is faster, goals scored are more, and the participation is stronger. It can strengthen our body, relieve work pressure, and enhance life quality.

       The openness and promotion of P.K.O. of the Sports Center fully demonstrate the charm and characteristics of fitness for all, which not only satisfy citizens’ fitness requirement towards football fields of natural grass but also enrich citizens’ cultural and sports life and add to the beauty of the city.
