Dalian Sports Center Received Approximately 130,000 Citizens 

in the First Half of the Year

From Oct. 2013, Sports Center formulated the Wednesday as free open day, and citizens can experience football, basketball, badminton, table tennis, tennis, baseball, etc. Sports Center provides the field for the society freely or with lower fees, which can not only meet requirements of people from different levels but also stimulate the passion of citizens.

       In the first half of the year, Dalian Sports Center has received about 130,000 citizens. On each Wednesday, the telephones will ring uninterruptedly. At present, the main groups at the free period are the old. With the arrival of summer holiday, students groups also join in the activity, which has made the Sports Center more and more hilarious.

       With low price and first-class site conditions, artificial turf fields of Sports center is favored by grassroots football teams from Dalian government agencies, enterprises and institutions. There is also many football matches organized by folk amateurs. From the beginning of this year, Sports Center has held more than 160 matches and received 8800 persons. In accordance with information from organizer, “participants of these matches are between 20 years old to 45 years old. Relying on the good football foundation and platform of Sports Center, I hope to build a spare-time football match into traditional football match in Dalian”.

       Since the swimming pool opening to citizens, it has attracted many citizens to experience here and to buy the card by its good water quality. From May of this year, swimming pool adjusted the ticket price and citizens can enjoy half price on each Wednesday. “Business hours of swimming pool will be prolonged to 8:30 at night, and the office workers like us also can enjoy the half price. With the low price and good water quality, we may insist on our healthy activities here.” Xiao Su told the journalist.

       Dalian International Women Tennis Open will be hold from Sept. 7 to Sept. 13 in Dalian Sports Center. It is the largest and most professional international tennis match in the Northeast of China. And it also welcomed citizens to witness the elegance of “Future Li Na” with low ticket price.

       In addition, Sports Center also hold online participation health activity through WeChat platform, which has attracted more and more citizens to enjoy the joy of fitness.
