“2+1” Sports and Artistic Show and Sunshine Sports Meet for Middle and Primary School Students in Ganjingzi District for 2014

In the morning on Sep. 29, 2014, “2+1” Sports and Artistic Show and Sunshine Sports Meet for Middle and Primary School Students in Ganjingzi District hosted by the district education bureau was opened solemnly in the Stadium of Dalian Sports Center. Leaders from the four major leading groups and relevant departments, sub-districts, municipal education bureau attended the opening ceremony of the sports meet. The total number of people attending the opening ceremony was around 40,000.

This sports meet is a grand meet to review comprehensively the sports and artistic level of the teachers and students in Ganjingzi District, exhibit their good spiritual outlook and a grand meet to steel teams, cohere people, boost morale and promote education development. It is another grand sports meeting with the most people taking part in competitions, the most competition events, the largest scale and an unprecedentedly grand occasion succeeding the Track and Field Sports Meet for Primary and Middle School Students in Ganjingzi District for 2006. The in-depth carrying out of sunshine sports activities makes every life growth healthily, every heart full of sunshine, every livelihood gorgeous and colorful and the education in Ganjingzi achieve truthly the fundamental goal of “laying a foundation for future”.

After the opening ceremony, the teachers and students of the middle and primary schools performed jointly such mass gymnastic displays as Sunshine, Colorful and Passion to push the sports meet to a high tide. The sports meets lasted for 4 days with 2,800 plus athletes taking part in competitions in 22 sports events.
