Municipal Sports Bureau Making Survey and Investigation in the Sports Center
On Aug. 6, a group of people headed by Zhou Fuzhan, Vice Chief of Municipal Sports Bureau went to the Sports Center for survey and investigation and had a special symposium with the operating team of the Sports Center to discuss such issues as how to utilize sufficiently the resources of sports gyms and stadiums, mutual close cooperation for complementing each other’s advantages in resources, maximal use of gym and stadium resources to serve city residents, etc. Wang Siping, Vice Director of Xinghaiwan Development and Construction Management Center, Zhang Liang, Deputy GM of Lingnan Sports Center and the principals of all gyms and stadiums participated in the symposium.
Firstly, Vice Bureau Chief Zhou Fuzhan showed his thanks to the great support extended by the Sports Center to the Sports Bureau during the National Sports Meet and for one year after that event and affirmed the active exploration made by the Sports Center in operation management. Bureau Chief Zhou showed that the Sports Center would further care about, support and help the Sports Center to do well in gym and stadium development and operation, and give support and guide in respect of event declaration, introduction, organization and management and gym and stadium operation, etc. by giving full play to the resource and professional advantage of the sports administrative competent authority.
Vice Director Wang Siping introduced in detail the current situation of gym and stadium operation and management in the Sports Center, showed his sincere welcome to introduction of more events by the Sports Bureau. The Sports Center would coordinate with full efforts to do such matters as venue guarantee, etc. well and further utilize the advantage in gym and stadium resources and give active play to the role of the sports gyms and stadiums under the support and help of the Sports Bureau.
Both parties also discussed issues and difficulties appearing currently in the gym and stadium operation in the Sports Center. Vice Bureau Chief Zhou answered with regard to the event introduction procedure and made rationalization suggestions on details in gym and stadium operation. Both parties unanimously thought that the Sports Center is a public welfare facility integrating such functions as competition, training, national fitness and sports industrialization and benefiting the people of the whole city. By complementing each other’s advantages, both parties should develop jointly the gym and stadium resources, bring along the development of the sports competition market and national fitness cause in our city and let broad city residents get more benefits from it.
