“Zhongcaotang Cup” National Softball Match for Young Girls for 2014 was Held
As Reported by Ticker, the curtain for “Zhongcaotang Cup” National Softball Match for Young Girls for 2014 was pulled open in the picturesque coastal city – Dalian, Liaoning Province on Jul. 30.
A total of 18 young girl softball teams from Beijing, Shanghai, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Henan and Gansu will participate in the match. The match is divided into such groups as juvenile sports school group, juvenile regular school group, sports school group for children, children regular school group for children for ranking respectively.
The opening ceremony of the match was held in the Baseball Court of Dalian Sports Center. The leaders and distinguished guests participating in the opening ceremony were: Mr. Zhou Fuzhan, Chairman of the Organization Committee for this Champion and Vice Chief of Dalian Municipal Sports Bureau, Mr. Wang Siping, Vice Chairman of the Organization Committee for this Champion and Vice Chief of Dalian Xinghaiwan Development and Construction Management Center, Ms. Zhang Xuan, Vice Head of Softball Dept. of Management Center for Handball, Hockey Ball, Baseball and Softball Sports of National Sports Bureau General, Mr. Kuo Zhengjie, Head of Competition Division of Dalian Municipal Sports Bureau, Mr. Zhao Yicai, General Manager of Northern Region of Shenzhen Zhongcaotang Science & Technology Co., Ltd., etc. Mr. Zhou Fuzhan, Mr. Wang Siping and Mr. Zhao Yicai opened ball for the match.
After the short opening ceremony, the match of the juvenile sports school group was held on the same court. The host team from School Affiliated to Dalian Xigang District Teacher Training School met the team from Shang Sports School. Finally Dalian Xigang Team was beat 2:3.
To support this match, Dalian Municipal Sports Bureau has provided the best court in the newly built Dalian Sports Center and made a great effort for holding a high-level champion for teenagers and children.
This match will continue for 6 days. On Aug. 5, the final competitions will start and the places in the four groups and individual prizes will be produced. (Contributed by China Softball Association)
