     The reporter found in visit that this comprehensive, high-standard sports competition and training center is gradually transforming, with the Stadium, Swimming Gym, Tennis Gym, Baseball Gym, etc. having been opened to the city residents successively. Such a line as being “sensitive to civilians’ needs” provides a good place for the city residents to do fitness and exercise, watch matches, performances, etc.
At the intersection between the Northwest Road and Lanling Road, the road marking of the Sports Center indicates clearly the access path. When entering into it, the indicating signs for all gyms are also clearly visible. 

The 1st station: Tennis Gym 
Free Opening on Every Wednesday after Mid-March
     According to the indicated path, the reporter first came to the tennis court yesterday afternoon.
Being different from the quiet environment outdoor, the indoor training grounds in the tennis gym is highly popular with three grounds full of people. There was still a group of members waiting beside. Mr. Zhao came to have training with his daughter. He said that he had played tennis in many gyms in the city before. The tennis gym of the Sports Center is very professional with very good software and hardware and the price is not expensive. After the “12th National Sports Meet” ended last year, he was the first to come for a membership card on getting a word that the tennis gym would be open to the outside.
     Relevant principal of the Sports Center told the reporter that after the “12th National Sports Meet” ended, relevant gyms of the Sports Center were open to the city residents successively. In which, the Tennis Gym is popular with the city residents, especially in weekends, it is almost full of people. The principal showed that the Tennis Center includes a tennis final ground that could hold 10,000 people, an indoor tennis training gym with three grounds, two semi-final grounds that can hold 1,000 people each, eight preliminary grounds and six training grounds. In future, the final ground can host large events.

     According to the present plan, part of the outdoor training grounds will be open on free basis to the city residents on every Wednesday from Mid-Match. Those city residents having interest may make reservations by phone. 

The 2nd station: Gym
30 plus Performances and Events to be Hosted This Year
      It is known that the Gym covers an area of 95,000 sq. m., occupies a floor space 83,000 sq. m. and has 18,000 seats. In the Gym, there are also 3,000 retractable seats, private box seats, broadcasting rooms, athlete warm-up zone, underground parking lot and food & beverage zone, etc. in addition to 15,000 fixed seats.
     The roof of the Sports Center adopts a structural system called “suspended dome”, which is large in span with an irregular oval plane. It is one of projects in suspended dome structure with a largest span in the world at present.

The 3rd station: Stadium
Hosting Albin Home Events in China Super League

     The Stadium is the main venue of the Sports Center. During the 12th National Sports Meet, it hosted the match for the youth group of men’s football and the women’s football match. Relevant principal from the Sports Center told the reporter that at present, the peripheral four training grounds of the Stadium had been open to the outside, especially in weekends, a lot of football lovers came here to play football.
     What is worth of attention is that it has been determined that the Albin home match in China Super League this year will be held in the Stadium of the Sports Center. On Mar. 15, the first match will commence here. According to present statistics, there will be a total of 18 matches of China Super League and Football Association Cup that will take place here this year. Besides, it is also planned to invite foreign renowned football teams to hold commercial events and there will be two large concerts. Moreover, this ground can also host such activities as enterprise sports meets, etc.

The 4th Station: Swimming Gym
Planning to Hold a Fun Swimming Match

     The Swimming Gym is also very lively inside. When the reporter went to have a look, the same found that the warm-up pool that has been open to the city resident had a lot of people swimming for fitness. Besides those swimming in the pool, some people sat on the floor or laid beside the pool. “Our place has floor heating. No people is afraid of cold here.” Relevant principal told the reporter.
     The principal said that from Jan. 8 this year, the warm-up pool of the Swimming Gym was open to the city residents by taking the form of trial operation. Until now, city residents have been received for 8,000 person-time, “Two or three hundred people on average each week day and four or five hundred people on weekends”. 
     The reported knew that what attracted the city residents was not only the specialized facilities here. That the water quality is good was one of the main reasons. Relevant principal showed that the water treatment system of the Swimming Gym also adopts the most internationally advanced biological purification system for nuisance-free water treatment in addition to being equipped with conventional physical, chemical filtering and sterilizing system to purify the water quality. Although the “12th National Sports Meet” has finished, the Swimming Gym of the Sports Center still ensures daily water monitoring for two hours to keep the water quality up to standard.

     It is known that the trial operation of the Swimming Gym will be until Mar. 31. It is planned that during formal opening to the outside, such people’s wellbeing activities as family fun swimming match, etc. will be held.

From January this year, the Swimming Gym was also open to the city resident in the form of trial operation. The principal showed that the charge standards for all stadiums and gyms open to the city residents are not higher than the city average level.
